Welcome to Aeglis. By accessing our website, consumer dashboards, or integrating our B2B Developer API, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, generating an API key, or submitting a file or URL for analysis, you constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aeglis Inc. If you do not agree with these terms, you must immediately cease using our services.
2. Account Security & API Keys
If you are a developer using our Enterprise or Startup plans:
- You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your
sk_live_*API keys. - Any API request made using your key will be billed to your quota, regardless of whether you authorized it.
- Do not expose your secret keys in frontend JavaScript, public GitHub repositories, or unsecured environments.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse the Aeglis engine. Specifically, you must not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying AI models or proprietary scanning logic.
- Use our platform to intentionally distribute, host, or orchestrate malware or phishing campaigns.
- Perform Denial of Service attacks against our
/scanor/deep-scanendpoints. - Resell our raw API responses to third parties without written authorization (unless utilizing a white-label agreement).
4. Subscriptions, Credits & Refunds
Aeglis operates on both credit-based (B2C) and quota-based (B2B) billing models:
- Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed automatically on a monthly basis.
- Overages: If your API requests exceed your tier limits, we reserve the right to throttle your requests (Status 429) until you upgrade or the next billing cycle begins.
- No Refunds: Due to the computational costs associated with AI processing and deep file autopsy, we do not offer refunds for partial months or unused credits.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
We provide Aeglis on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While our contextual AI engine is highly advanced:
- We do not guarantee that our engine will detect 100% of all zero-day threats, malware, or phishing attempts.
- A SAFE verdict does not constitute an absolute guarantee of security. Hackers continuously evolve their methods.
- We are not responsible for any financial loss, data breach, or system compromise you suffer if a threat bypasses our detection algorithms.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and API access instantly, without prior notice or liability, for any reason — including but not limited to a breach of these Terms or suspected malicious activity.
